The "fun" of online clothes shopping

I just got back from vacation and my new clothes had arrived. I'm gonna have to return most of them. Shopping online, it's hard to find things that fit. It's not that they're always too small, just the wrong shape. I've had some fun with it though and am thinking about ordering things I know won't fit just so I can see how I look.

How do you experience clothes shopping for a changing body. Any tips?

I recommend getting one size up from whatever fits you the most comfortably right now if it’s too big you can stash it for when you grow a bit and if you like the fit you just got something that will last a bit longer. But I’ll be honest here once you get large enough around the middle stuff just fits awkwardly no matter what and it’s pretty much a guess what will fit well

I just completely avoid online shopping because of how unreliable it is,especially as an obese person. I only shop online if the clothing is exclusively online and I have the exact measurements of the shirt that I'm buying(waist, chest size, armholes, etc).I also heard that shopping for womens clothing is even more of a nightmare then mens clothing.

I can so relate to this! Cannot shop in the general stores as seems the maximum size is a 22, some places go up higher but the fashion dynamic is just awful, therefore I shop online I don’t know how many times I’ve bought something a size 26 and I’ve sent it back only to then buy a size 28 and again sending it back as it doesn’t fit right and that’s taking into account the breasts/waist and hip measurements! Just seems to be all retailers are making clothes generally smaller than the size specified
